This substrate is the only substrate brand I will use for my snakes. Doesn’t stain and doesn’t make me cough like crazy from copious amounts of dust like other substrate brands.
I absolutely love reptichip. And I will continue to use it. Only problem I had this time was shipping. Took two weeks to get it which set me back on another project I was working on.
But it just is what it is sometimes.
Been using it for years. Someone gave me a different product to try. It couldn’t compare. ReptiChip will always be a go to product for me.
I use terrariums, ReptiChip breeder blocks work great. In the winter months I add an inch of ReptiEarth to the bottom to keep humidity at proper levels.
Smells wonderful. Holds moisture for days. Easy to clean. My BP love it and so do I.
I had used reptichips prior to trying reptiearth. Both are a two of the best substrate options available for temperate to tropical environments. I prefer the the reptichip aesthetically, but reptiearth is better for absorption, holding humidity and is easier to scoop. My ONLY COMPLAINT is that you need different instructions for the reptiearth blocks. I watched your video prior to opening my first reptichip block. I followed the instructions, and it worked just like it did in the video every time. I’ve had several blocks of reptiearth now, and the reptichip instructions DO NOT work for reptiearth blocks! Even with more water, and flipping the blocks extra times, you still end up pulling the rest apart with your hands!
I love the microchip b/c of its small size. It works great for my crested geckos.
This is my second order. I have been using shredded aspen for my ball pythons and corn snakes but I am glad I found this product. Now I don’t have to worry about mold. I just add a little water and it fluffs up nicely. The free shipping is a big plus as well. Great product and value!
