The Madagascar Ground Boa (Acrantophis madagascariensis) is a striking member of the Boidae family, specifically within the subfamily Sanziniinae, and is notable for being the largest snake species on the island of Madagascar. Adult females of this species can reach impressive lengths of up to 10 feet (3.0 meters), while males are generally smaller, with an average size of around 8 feet (2.4 meters).
